About me...
I am very excited to be teaching physical education for Buena Vista! I taught P.E. for CCSD in Clark County, NV for 14 years and was up for adventure when I accepted this position. I have served as the Southern NV PE Association President, love teaching students new skills and inspiring them to love exercise and taking care of their bodies. I ran track NAU (Flagstaff, AZ) and VCSU (Valley City, ND) and coached track for Boulder City High School for 14 years.
Professionally, I have a k-8 elementary teaching degree, a k-12 physical education degree, a masters in educational administration, a health and wellness credential, an improving school communities credential and continue to take classes from behavior management, teaching with brain in mind and participate in physical education development regionally and nationally. I hope to make a positive impact on children's learning, development, social, physical, and emotional skills. I love that I am able to help shape children into amazing people while equipping them with strength, love, and empowerment of their self worth. I feel when students know their worth and know they are loved it is the best way to combat bullying and promote a positive, happy life. While teaching I aim to teach the national PE standards while targeting cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains and trying to cater to different learning styles. I also love making their lives more fun!!!
I have a 19 year old son, Zach Trone, who is running track for SUU and a 15 yr old, Jake Trone who plays football, basketball, and runs track. My daughter Zia will be attending 2nd grade at Buena Vista and loves sports, gymnastics, and dance!
